August Potpourri

Well. We have been busy this month doing all sorts of fun and exhausting things. I took the babies to a big mall nearby to shop and play (play mostly) We rode the Merry-Go-Round and played w/ the trains, Noah played in the Indoor Playground. The babies took an Ice Cream truck for a spin. Abigale has been sporting her shampoo Mohawk! Very 80's! And this will question one's age and memory....Years and years ago, there was a dog food commercial, and all the dogs were chasing the "Chuck Wagon" and bringing up the rear was this little tiny dog with a bell around her neck...Anyone remember? Well, Daisy has decided to reprise that role! (just overlook ALL of the toys and the dinner mess on the island) We don't have alot of time to plan our picture taking!! We just shoot 'em, dinner messes and toy clusters!! Enjoy!

Abigale's Playhouse

Well, I just couldn't stand it any longer. My little Princess had to have some "girly" toys! I can not have her growing up "crashing" cars and playing with GI Joe! So, I bought her (and Noah) a Princess Playhouse! They have had an absolute ball playing in this. From the time they wake up till the time they reluctantly go back to sleep they are in this playhouse! It has a real doorbell, a reversible stove/BBQ grill, real working shutters and a skylight!! School started today, but Noah did not go back. We are shooting for October 1rst! Boys and Potty Training is quite a challenge. My mom and I have our beach trip just around the corner. I can not wait!!!!

Tomorrow we are going on a little "clothes shopping spree" They both need fall clothes and I am always buying Princess dresses whenever something catches my eye!! (Poor Poor Dan)

Hope all is well with everyone!

A Few Clowns Short of a Circus

Well today we went to the Circus! The Circus has changed a bunch. I remember this Big Grand 3 Ring Circus, tons of animals, and the clowns weren't "scary" back then! Well, it was much smaller than I remembered. It was still a great time! If I had to pick who had the most fun, I think it would have to be Abigale. She absolutely had a ball. Clapping, Cackling, Pointing at the animals and the clowns. The Circus got off to a rocky start for Noah. Right out of the bat, there were "fireworks". Noah is not a fan of fireworks. He was ready to go home. (Not even 5 minutes in....)He worked through it and took it like a big boy and ended up really enjoying the Circus. Especially the Elephants. Oh, and just listen to some of the prices......$12.00 for Cotton Candy! $18.00 for a Snow-cone. I bought an $18.00 Program (because it came w/ the light up Clown Nose) and Noah a $20.00 Spinning Light! It was all very worth it to hear them laugh and giggle. MiMi was quite exhausted at the end of the Circus. Ms. Abigale really has her #.

Poker and Pool Sharks???????

So, Apparently we need more church. Take a look at what my beautiful babies have been doing lately! Yes, those are Poker Chips! Dan decided to get out a full set of Poker Chips to entertain Noah and Abigale. He then took a Huggies Box and taught them how to pitch chips into the box! (Pitching Quarters anyone?) Now, that is just wholesome family fun don't you think?

Noah had his swimming lesson on Wednesday and he got promoted again. Starting August 27th, he will be moved out of Advanced Aqua Tots to Super Aqua Tots. He is swimming over 10 feet under water unassisted and is able to roll over onto his back unassisted and float! Michael Phelps better enjoy his title while he can!

Abigale is still as beautiful as ever, and is getting into everything. She now has 6 teeth and is getting closer and closer to those first steps. Her and Noah are really beginning to spend more time playing together. There are still many glitches, but they say that is what brothers and sisters do. This is all new to me. How in the Hell am I supposed to teach my children how to share, when I never had to do that. However, So far So good....but I can tell you this, Ms. Abigale is looking like she is going to be a "drama queen" She has very sensitive feelings and if you say her name with the slightest "tone" in your voice, here come the waterworks! And I am talking BIG SAD TEARS! By the way, check out her little curls. Aren't they the cutest?

This evening, instead of getting into the pool, Noah decided to get on the Pool table. Yes, from Poker to Pool! Of course, Abigale had to get in on the action as well. I figure they can play Pool as long as they don't gamble, right? That's good parenting don't you think?

Well, tomorrow Mom and I are taking Noah and Abigale to the Ringling Bros Circus. Should be interesting. Noah is excited about seeing the Tigers and the Lions! We are going early, so he can see all of the animals up close. Should be alot of fun. I haven't been to the Circus in probably 30 years.....(Ugh, that sounds horrible)

Question of the day............
If Barbie is so popular, why do you have to buy her friends?

Thought for the day.............
Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines!

Noah and Abigale's Summer Olympics

Here you see Noah's Half Pike w/ a Twist Dive. His talents never cease to amaze me!!
Here is the Princess practicing her Synchronized Swimming moves with her Daddy. You will see Noah splashing around here, he has sunk a dump truck and is riding it underwater. The boy and his trucks! Enjoy the Olympics. Go USA

Another Installment of Noah's Photography Studio

Well, we have ordered Noah his very own Mickey Mouse Digital Camera. He is still very enthusiastic about taking Pictures. Here are a few more of his latest hot pics.....The first one is of his favorite subject..His Sister. This is one of the rare times that he is not aggravating her. Next we have a great profile shot of Abigale playing. She just may have my nose!! The next few are very artistic in nature. We have an intriging shot of the TV and Ceiling, and of course the shot of the week....Another close-up of Princess!!

He is quite the talented shutter bug.

Until next time......One photo out of focus is a mistake, ten photos out of focus are an experimentation, one hundred photos out of focus are a style!!

Summer Fun.

Well, the summer is almost over. Noah is supposed to start back to Mother's Day Out on the 25th of August, however, he is still not consistent with his Potty Training, so he may not be going until October...or later?? (Please keep your fingers crossed) We have had such a fun summer. We started out the summer with a fun trip to Galveston Island with MiMi. It was just perfect. We have been to East Texas several times for visits, and LOTS of swimming.

I took the babies to a Neighborhood Park yesterday morning and Noah had a ball. Abigale loved the swings! So, we went to a different Park this morning. It had alot more things to keep Noah occupied. His big purpose in life is to PLAY and he is excelling magnificently! He makes friends everywhere he goes. I hope that demeanor stays with him, I think it will serve him well in life.

We are going back to Galveston in September with MiMi. We are all very excited. It was such a fun, relaxing trip and Noah just loved the Ocean and the sand. However, I think his favorite thing was the Seagulls! They will eat right out of your hand.

Hope all is well with everyone.

There is a new Photographer in the House

Well, I know now what gift I should have gotten Noah for his birthday. His own digital camera. He has become quite the little photographer. I am attaching some of his greatest shots...
We have a great pic of his "Road" rug. A breathtaking photo of his Melissa and Doug Number puzzle. We also have a riveting action shot of a car crash! One of his more creative shots is the one of his toes peeking out from under the table. Then he moves so effortlessly into a beautiful portrait of his Baby Sister. And what about that close-up? Wow. The camera loves her. It takes a special photographer to pull off a shot like that!
"Everyone has a Photographic Memory...but not everyone has film"
Love and Hugs!

Future Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader

Today is Wednesday. Noah had his swimming lesson. He is doing unbelievably well. He loves the water! I am so very proud of him. Miss Abigale, as you can see, is preparing for her "Kick Line" for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. That is my girl! I could just sit and watch the two of them all day long. I can be in the most rotten, pissy mood and the next minute, it's over! One of them is always making me laugh and constantly smile! Why in the world did I wait so long to bring these beautiful babies in the world?

As most of you know by now, Wednesday also marks another event in our lives....Yes, it's the "So You Think You Can Dance" weekly inter-active Goofball hour! Well, tonight I armed myself with the camera! Dan and Noah broke out some of their all time classic moves..."Churn the Butter", "Raise the Roof", and the infamous "Sprinkler". I had to draw the line when they drug poor little Abigale into their twisted web of dancing mis-steps!! She is going to be my ballerina, she can't get bogged down with their goofy Man dances!! Us girls have to stick together.

Dance like there is noone watching!

Baby Pool Party

Saturday Dan and I took the babies over to Craig and Danielle's house for a Baby Pool Party. I had told Noah about this on Friday and I can not count the number of times he has asked me to go to "Efans" (Ethan) house.

We all had such a good time. Ken and Kim Sibley were there with Baby Blake. It was fun to watch the "little" guys interact. Of course, the big kids (Dan and Craig) might have had more fun than Noah and Ethan...

Noah continues to ask me when we are going back to "Efans" house!

Abigale's First Birthday

Well, it just doesn't seem like a year, since we were blessed with Miss Abigale Grace. She has been such a bright spot in our family. Noah called her Sister Susie the whole time I was pregnant. Now, he has joined in and calls her "Princess" most of the time now too. She is developing quite the "diva" personality already. What precious fun times we have in store.

The morning of her birthday, Dan, Big Brother Noah and I sang Happy Birthday to our little Princess. Of course, no Birthday Princess would be complete without her Lavender Feather Boa and her Crystal Tiara! Noah helped her blow out her candle and very happily ate her cupcake.

We went to pick up MiMi and went to the park for a picnic and playtime. Everyone had a great time, it was just tooooooo hot. We stayed as long as we could stand it and moved the celebration back to MiMi's and the Air Conditioning! It was a great day.

Happy Birthday Abigale. My beautiful baby girl. I have dreamed of you for years, and now you are here and are more than I could have ever hoped for. I love you.
